.What you should know.

This section contains meaningful and noteworthy information, as well as terms and conditions, applicable to the travel package you are booking.

PAYMENT:

In order to process the necessary reservations, a certain amount, per person, is required as deposit, by check.

(*) The discounted package price(s) quoted reflect a reduction for check, money order or bank wire payments. For payment by any other means a 3% to 5% charge will be added to the final invoice. PTS/THE OPERATORS WILL CONFIRM SERVICES AND ISSUE AN INVOICE AFTER THE REQUIRED DEPOSIT/PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

.Additional deposits may be required after confirmation of the services.

.Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.

.Services & the various components are sold only as a "package". No "breakdowns".

.All rates for the arrangements are based on the value of the U.S. dollar in relation to foreign currencies and on tariffs in effect as of the date of the quotation, and are subject to adjustment (up or down), at anytime.

.Any change, whatsoever, in the services featured in the quoted itinerary will modify the price(s). We reserve the right to impose a service fee for each and every change requested after the services have been confirmed.

PTS/THE OPERATORS REQUIRE THAT THE PASSENGER(S) FILL OUT A DOCUMENTATION FORM WITH FULL NAME(S) AS SPELLED IN THE PASSPORT(S), AS WELL AS PHOTOCOPIES OF THE FIRST PAGE OF THE PASSPORT(S), BEFORE RESERVATIONS MAY BE PROCESSED.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS U.S. :

citizens need a valid passport for travel abroad. Passport(s) should be valid for at least 6 months at time of travel. For specific VISA requirements, please consult the applicable consulate(s) in the United States or a "Visa Service". We are not responsible for losses of any kind, due to problems with travel documents! It is the ultimate responsibility of the passenger(s) to have all the necessary travel documents in order.

HOTEL(S):

The package price includes accommodations at the hotel(s) specified in the day-by-day itinerary or similar, including taxes and service charges. In remote areas, the best available properties will be utilized. Specific type of accommodations can only be requested, not guaranteed. Furthermore, the package price is based on STANDARD grade rooms or "run-of-the-house". Deluxe grade rooms with specific type of "views" and/or "setups" can only be provided upon payment of extra "upgrade" charges. Details on request. Regular check-in and check-out times apply at the hotels. For passenger(s) arriving early in the morning or departing late at night, early check-in and/or late check out at hotels can be guaranteed, upon payment of supplement charges (to be added to the package price). The right is reserved to substitute hotels for similar ones, should circumstances necessitate.

PAYMENT POLICY:

The deposit is 100% applied towards the final payment. NOTE: Additional deposit(s) that may be required to guarantee reservations will be stipulated once the reservations are confirmed. Full payment is required no later than 62 days prior to departure. During periods of high season, festivities or local holidays, immediate and non-refundable payment(s) may be required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations received after payment of the required deposit(s) and more than 61 days prior to departure, are subject to forfeiture of 100% of the deposit(s), plus any other charges imposed by our suppliers at time of cancellation. Additionally, for cancellations received from 60 to 31 days prior to departure, an additional 50% of the total package price will be forfeited. "No shows" are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. These conditions are strictly enforced. Once on tour, there are no refunds for unused services, for any reason whatsoever. Stricter policies may apply for bookings during holiday periods and/or "peak season" dates.

RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE:

PTS, Incorporated, Escondido, California, its "Internet Sales & Marketing AgentsP" and the Operator(s) and/or Galapagos Tours and Cruises, act only as independent contractors and agree to use best judgment and discretion in regard to advertising and arranging travel, whether by railroad, bus, motor car, boat or airplane and booking accommodations and assumes no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or through the acts or default of any person or company engaged in conveying or booking the passengers or by virtue of any act or omission of any person or company in carrying out the arrangements of the tour.

We accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes, whether resulting from the acts or omissions of others. Any losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger, as the package price provides arrangements only for the time states. All prices are based upon current tariffs and current exchange rates and are subject to adjustment in the event of changes therein. All cruise, air, rail and land arrangements are subject to adjustment/change due to operational conditions beyond the control of PTS, Incorporated, Escondido, California, its "Internet Sales & Marketing Agents" and the Operator(s).

REFUNDS:

No refunds for pre-packaged unused services will be made, under any circumstances.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend that the passenger(s) purchase travel and trip cancellation insurance to protect their travel investment, in case the passenger(s) find it necessary to cancel part of or the entire trip. The cancellation policy is strict. For more information on insurance, please click here.

FORUM SELECTION NOTICE:

Any and all disputes arising out of this agreement shall exclusively be brought before the appropriate court in the county of San Diego, within the state of California. The law governing this agreement shall be either the federal or state law applicable to the dispute in force within the state of California during the time period of the alleged dispute.

BAGGAGE:

Baggage is carried at the owner’s risk. We are not responsible for damaged or lost baggage, for any reason, whatsoever. Please purchase travel/trip cancellation/baggage insurance to protect your property.
